Theme Thursday - For Mom or something like that ;0)

I go to a sweet little church and every Mothers day they give each mother a rose.  This past Mothers day they gave all the women roses regardless of whether they were a mother or not.   So me, my mom, and my sister all had roses.

I couldn't wait to get outside to take some shots of them.  Thought I'd share one for theme Thursday.

Since I am blogging from work *gasp* this is from my flicker account so if that causes a problem, please let me know.  I just started using flicker and have no clue lol...

We had a beautiful day on Sunday and we enjoyed some chatting in the parking lot after church.  We waited around so that we could go visit the Nursing Home with some other church members as we always do the 2nd Sunday of the month.  Well, Emma had other plans for us.  She threw a holy fit when her Aunt Jessica went to get her to bring her to the car.  Aunt Jessica had ahold of her hand and when Emma threw herself down on the ground it pulled her elbow out of socket - nursemaids elbow.  This has happened once before at the beginning of the year.  We have all been very careful about it because it is painful for her and obviously we don't want it to happen.  Aunt Jessica felt horrid.

So needless to say we had to rush to the ER across town to get them to pop it back into place.  This was quite an eventful Mothers day.  The Dr in the ER was nice enough to show us how to pop it back in.  It really is just as simple as having Emma extend her arm, but it is very hard to hear her scream as your are doing it.
:0(  I cried.  She was over it by the time we left and we really weren't there for more than 20 minutes.

Emma can thank me for this blessing because I have passed it down to her.  My mom says my arm popped out 3 times.  At least I don't remember it.

  1. So pretty. I have been telling my hubs that we really need to plant some rose bushes so I can have a steady stream of fresh flowers in the house. I just love roses.
